New management for Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort, Thailand

Outrigger Enterprises Group has appointed Marc Landgraf as the general manager of the Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort in Thailand.

He will take up the role tomorrow.

The resort is a 52-key all-suite and villa beachfront property in Samui that has just completed major renovations and enhancements.

Outrigger acquired the property in mid-2015.

Landgraf has over 30 years’ hotel industry experience, much of it at general manager level in Asia at leading holiday resorts in southern Thailand.

He will report to William Visser, the Outrigger vice president of operations who is based in the company’s Asia Pacific regional office in Phuket.

Before the move, Landgraf, a French national, was manager at the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort & Villas for three years and manager at the former Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort & Spa.

Landgraf also draws on resort management experience in the Dominican Republic and in serviced apartment management in Brussels.

He has extensive experience in sales, food and beverage, as well as resort management.

“Marc brings with him solid resort management experience in southern Thailand and knows the Outrigger way,” said Darren Edmonstone, Outrigger managing director, Asia Pacific.

“He offers all the key credentials to take our beautifully refurbished resort in Samui to the next level.”

Landgraf who speaks German and Spanish as well as his native French and English, is a graduate in International Hospitality Management from the Hotel Management School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
