Hilton London Metropole has announced the appointment of Remco Norden as general manager.

A Dutch national who speaks five languages, Norden has 23 years of experience with Hilton in a variety of commercial and operational roles in the UK and overseas.

He was general manager at the 821-room Hilton London Gatwick Airport Hotel, where he had been in position since 2016.

In January 2014, he opened the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Centre, Hilton’s flagship and largest hotel in continental Europe. 

Married with two children, Norden takes a keen interest in food and wine in his spare time and keeps fit through skiing, football, tennis and golf.

Of his new role at Hilton London Metropole, he said: “I am delighted to be joining the largest Hilton hotel in Europe, where I will be able to interact with a range of guests from across the globe, as well as work with the talented and professional team during the exciting times that lie ahead.”
