British Airways has appointed a new head of corporate sales, Luke Goggin.

Richard Tams, British Airways’ head of UK&I sales and marketing said: “We are very pleased to have brought Luke onboard.

“Coming as he does from outside of the airline industry, he brings a fantastic diversity of experience and a fresh perspective to enable us to reach new heights as we sell alongside our new joint business partners.”

Luke started his career in 2000 after a stint playing rugby in the UK and Australia.

His first role in sales was with leading professional specialist recruitment agency, Robert Walters.

In 2001 he then left to join motivational and attitudinal training specialists SI Corporate Development.

A year later he left to become national account manager for Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants, where he rose to become head of sales for over 600 Premier Inns and 400 pub restaurants.
