New chief for Seven Seas Cruises as Conroy steps down

Long-serving Seven Seas Cruises chief executive Mark Conroy will step down at the end of January 2013, parent company Prestige Cruise Holdings has confirmed.

Conroy has led Regent Seven Seas Cruises for two decades.

He will be replaced by Kumal Kamlani, who will also continue in his current role as president and chief operating officer of Prestige Cruise Holdings.

“Mark is a true professional and respected cruise industry expert who has been the guiding force behind Regent Seven Seas Cruises and its success since the very beginning,” said Prestige Cruise chairman Frank Del Rio.

Conroy will continue to advise Del Rio and Kamlani in the newly created capacity of executive adviser.

With the shift, Prestige Cruise also announced that Randall Soy has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing.

He will report to Kamlani.
