New boutique villa opens on Koh Samui

A new boutique villa has opened on the southern Thai island of Koh Samui. Upni Duniya is just a 10-minute drive from Samui International Airport and is neslted in a fishing village.

Upni Duniya occupies a 5,000sq-ft (464sqm) beachfront plot developed through a two-year collaboration between the owners and famed design partnership Pariya Sheanakul, David Lees and Vancouver-based architect Chris Doray. Upni Duniya is just a 10-minute drive from Samui International Airport.

“We feel thrilled to be able to share Upni Duniya with guests looking for privacy and harmony, giving them a tranquil environment to unwind and partake in a full service upscale experience,” said General Manager, Ms Utumporn Aupatcha. “We have left no detail unconsidered in ensuring guests are fully catered to, so they can immerse themselves in an indulgent experience while enjoying high-quality personal time – and the anonymity important to the many celebrities and socialites who stay with us.”

The villa complex is ornamented with original local and Indian artworks and offers wireless Internet throughout its seven buildings. Premium distractions extend to an infinity-edge swimming pool, state-of-the art gymnasium – and a dedicated massage area situated in a floating Thai pavilion.

Four Water Garden Suites housed in unique buildings augment four Guest Suites – while the exclusive master suite, Villa Number Nine, is a veritable home-within-a-home – all featuring the latest high-tech entertainment systems and exquisite furnishings and lighting.

The resort’s 11 staff are on call 24-hours a day to provide discreet and personalised butler service when required; the capable in-house team can chauffeur guests island-wide while preparing a varied menu of Thai and international cuisine – all at the guest’s convenience.

“Koh Samui has quickly become an upscale destination with direct access from key regional markets,” Ms Utumporn said. “The attention it is getting is demonstrated by the W, Conrad, Four Seasons and Banyan Tree brands all opening here recently ... However, we offer a more personal and intimate alternative – while still showcasing exceptional service, cuisine, accommodation and the natural, pristine beachfront environment.”
