Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi recently welcomed Mariana Sousa as director of communications. Mariana sousa joins Shangri-La Hotel as director of communications.
 
Ms. Sousa joins the Qaryat Al Beri complex from a luxury property in Lisbon, Portugal where she held a similar position for five years. Previously, she held the role of human resources and marketing manager at an international law firm in London and Lisbon.

A Brazilian and Portuguese national, Ms. Sousa brings a wealth of public relations experience including social media management, development of marketing and social responsibility strategies, and the creation of marketing tools. She holds diplomas in management and human resources from graduate schools in Lisbon and a law degree from Nova University.
