New appointment for Scandic Hotels

Scandic continues to strengthen the company’s Group management by appointing Lena Bjurner as new SVP of Human Resources.

Lena, who will leave a senior position within American Express’ European Human Resources, has extensive experience in international business, sales and HR. During her 20-year career at American Express, she has held several senior positions including Head of Commercial Card & Business Travel Account Management Nordic, Head of Human Resources Nordic, Director HR Business Partner Customer Service Organisation in Latin America and Canada samt VP HR, Head of Market HR for Nordics, Central Eastern Europe, Benelux and France.

Lena will be responsible for Scandic’s strategic framework within Human Resources with a particular focus on talent management, leadership development and further refinement of Scandic’s unique and strong corporate culture.

“Lena has a broad and extensive background in Nordic, European and international HR management. Her knowledge and experience will contribute significantly to driving the Group’s development forward,” says Frank Fiskers, President & CEO of Scandic Hotels.

Lena will assume the position in early August 2015 and will be a member of Scandic’s executive management team.
