National Express unveils new Caetano Levante III

National Express is pulling the wraps off its all-new coach - set to take comfort, safety and technology levels to new heights when it hits the road.

The UK’s largest coach operator is unveiling the new Caetano Levante III, giving the public a first look at the future of National Express coach travel.

Developed in partnership with coach and bus manufacturing giant Caetano, the new vehicle represents a step forward in terms of design: its sleek exterior has been refined to reflect the modern service that National Express provides whilst retaining the distinctive family DNA.

Passengers won’t have to worry about how to occupy themselves on the road either - the coach is equipped with free Wi-Fi, USB power sockets and National Express’s award winning on-board entertainment system ‘VUER’ as standard.

And with a specification bespoke to National Express the Levante III has been designed to make life even more comfortable for passengers.

It features new seats, heated floors, enhanced LED lighting, easier access to the cabin, and enhanced on-board luggage space.

To keep passengers informed about their journeys, National Express is also developing a passenger information system for the new vehicle.

Available from 2018 it provides key information on on-board screens such as the time remaining to destination, if there are roadworks ahead and the coach’s location.

The new vehicle goes into service this November and will be gradually rolled out across the fleet according to National Express’s replacement pattern.

National Express coach managing director, Chris Hardy, said: “We are delighted to be revealing our all new Levante III coach.

“In partnership with Caetano, we have developed our most technologically advanced coach ever - giving our passengers a truly modern experience which they have rightly come to expect.

“We can’t wait to see it carrying customers on the road.”
