Trainline has appointed Alidad Moghaddam as European director of Trainline for Business.

With expertise in digital technology and product, he will drive the rollout of a revamped Trainline for Business product suite.

Moghaddam joined the Trainline team in March 2015 as corporate development director and interim managing director of Trainline International, where he managed a series of growth and international expansion initiatives.

On his new role, Moghaddam explained: “Trainline for Business will focus on flexibility, convenience, ease of use and internationalisation.

“We want to build on the significant advances in our leisure product over the last 12 months, by adding enhancements for our business customers.

“This will include the rollout of a mobile offering, which we know is creating a hugely positive impact for our customers.”

Trainline for Business provides rail booking solutions for large corporate entities, and tavel management companies, offering self-service and account managed products as well as an API for UK rail.

Prior to Trainline, Moghaddam held a variety of senior management roles across start-ups, growth companies and Fortune 100 global enterprises, including Moneysupermarket.com and Blinkbox.

He also worked as a management consultant for Bain & Company in London and New York and held senior strategy and business development roles at American Express in its New York headquarters.
