Moerland takes over at PGA Catalunya

PGA Catalunya has confirmed Pierre Moerland has been appointed as the new chief executive. 

Having worked extensively in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, Moerland is very experienced at working across real estate leisure concepts and trained in a blue chip international property development environment.

Spread over 300 hectares of verdant countryside PGA Catalunya Resort comprises two world-class golf courses, superb leisure facilities, a hotel and a select number of villa plots, stylish modern townhouses and apartments for sale complete with a sports and residents club.

Of his new appointment at PGA Catalunya, Moerland said: “I am delighted to have been appointed CEO of PGA Catalunya Resort.

“It is incredibly exciting and motivating to be working for a development that is at the forefront of Spanish real estate and that is leading the way in terms of luxury property, luxury golf and luxury amenities. Having worked across a variety of master developments in the past I am pleased to bring with me variety of experience and contacts.”

Throughout his career he has worked as Interim Director on the Sentosa master development in Singapore, at Gulf Finance House in Bahrain where he was responsible for the exit strategies of GFH large scale real estate infrastructure developments in the MENA region and with Europe’s largest golf resort developer Polaris World implementing commercial management skills and development strategies in London and Murcia.

Moerland has also served as Executive Director at The Walt Disney Company.

Speaking a total of 5 languages Moerland was born in the Netherlands and attained a BBA degree from The Rotterdam Business School and a MBA from the European University (EHSAL) in Brussels.
