Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, recognised by the prestigious World Travel Awards as Middle East’s Leading Airport Hotel, has confirmed its participation at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM) event in London as the popular business hotel continues to target key European source market business.

Taking place in London from today, 3-6 November 2014, World Travel Market is the pre-eminent global event for the travel industry and the annual must-attend business-to-business showcase and platform for networking.

Senior executives will represent the hotel with a dedicated presence as part of the high profile Dubai pavilion, with a full schedule of one-on-one client and trade partner meetings already lined up.

“WTM is a pivotal event for us as, the European feeder markets are key to our continued high occupancy levels and strongly support the success of our food and beverage offering,” said Simon Moore, General Manager, Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai .

Year to date, the hotel has seen a surge in demand from the UK market with an increase in the registered room nights by up to 42.5% year-on-year, making travellers from the UK the second highest source market, after the US. The German and Italian markets also registered significant growth and are now the hotel ‘s seventh and eighth best performing markets respectively.

“Our year-long renovation programme, which added 150 refurbished superior rooms back into our inventory just prior to last year’s WTM event, as well as the introduction of a further 54 brand new club rooms and 21 suites at the tail end of the year, meant that we were able to aggressively target our traditionally high-performing source markets and attract new business with a high quality refreshed product,” said Moore.

Located on floors one to four, the redesigned 40-square metre superior rooms are equipped with corporate travellers in mind and feature an executive working desk, 40-inch flat screen television, WIFI internet access, coffee and tea-making facilities and spacious bathroom with separate bath and walk-in shower.

Business executives and leisure travellers booking into the hotel , named the Middle East’s Leading Airport Hotel at the 2012 & 2013 World Travel Awards, can also enjoy one of the biggest swimming pools in Dubai, 4 restaurants offering a wide range of authentic cuisines from Italian to Tex-Mex complimentary valet parking and return transfers from and to Dubai International Airport.

The hotel renovations also saw popular al fresco locations including the Oasis Pool & Bar and Terrace area get a makeover, with the outdoor area, which cumulatively incorporates the outdoor spaces used by the hotels’ three busy dining and entertainment outlets - Cactus Jack’s, Biggles pub and Gozo Garden also capitalising on the unique setting as an in-demand location for entertainment and gala events.
