Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, hailed as Morocco and Africa’s Leading MICE Hotel at the 2015 World Travel Awards, has unveiled its new ‘Mazagan Treasure Hunt’, offering team-building exercises at the resort as well as in the nearby town of El Jadida, and its UNESCO protected Portuguese fort.

The ‘Mazagan Treasure Hunt’ presents a unique test of ingenuity and camaraderie while providing a challenging way for corporates to explore the property.

Designed to promote solidarity among co-workers, the ‘Mazagan Treasure Hunt’ is comprised of six missions and cryptic hotel enigmas used to unlock clues and find hidden treasures.

The action starts in the lobby where teams are organised, each one named after a famed Moroccan city.

At each stage of the ‘Mazagan Treasure Hunt’, participants will develop workplace skills and overcome difficult challenges carried out in different areas of the hotel, including the Mazagan Spa, the Golf Club and many of the 14 bars and restaurants.

Teams must stand the test of time and complete the trail in less than two hours or will face group penalties. 

Portuguese Treasure Hunt

Located in the 16th century Portuguese Fortification of El Jadida, the ‘Portuguese Treasure Hunt’ takes professionals off-site for a team building experience combined with discovering the local culture.

Teams of participants will race one another to complete six challenges and successfully solve clues before the other, provoking a sense of friendly competition.

Treasure hunt enigmas include the ‘Proximity Challenge’; requiring guests to explore their surroundings and use their initiative to find local monuments.

Alternatively, ‘The Boldness Challenge’ will put commercial skills to the test as participants are tasked with sourcing and buying traditional items at competitive prices. End the ‘Portuguese Treasure Hunt’ at prime location Dar Del Mar guesthouse where the results of the day’s efforts will be revealed.
