Mass skating dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place today, on December 16, at “Alau” Ice Palace.

about 2,000 residents and guests gathered at ice rink. The event had a varied programme. Every guest had chance to take part in contests, competitions on ice, relays. The organisers, in turn, did not leave guests unattended and most active participants were awarded with gifts.

The culmination of the program was an amateur race on the record of “Alau” Ice Palace with 20 participants. Winner of the amateur race is Altynbek Nurmahanov, Timur Kaliev was second. Vyacheslav Khokhlov took the third place. Diana Alpysbayeva, best ice-skater among girls, received a recognition gift for audience sympathy.
