Man on hold to Qantas for 15 hours

A man has claimed he was put on hold by Qantas Airlines for a total of 15 hours, while trying to confirm travel plans on the phone.

Australian customer Andrew Kahn said he called on Wednesday evening, and heard a message that someone would take the call as soon as possible.

Kahn left the call running overnight and hung up the next morning at 11am, according to reports.

A spokesman for Qantas told Australian media it had no record of a 15-hour wait time, and that the maximum wait during the period in question was 17 minutes, with the average under one minute.
