Major disruption to East MidlandsTrains services

A signalling problem in the Elstree & Borehamwood area is causing major disruption to East Midlands Trains services this morning.

Currently, only one East Midlands Trains service per hour is able to travel between Luton and St Pancras, instead of the usual five services per hour. Delays are expected to continue throughout the morning peak causing severe disruption for passengers.

Network Rail engineers are working hard to resolve the fault and return to normal running. However, in the meantime, passengers are advised to use a different route where they can, or postpone their journey if at all possible until normal service has resumed.

East Midlands Trains passengers are being accepted on East Coast and Virgin West Coast services.
