Lufthansa relaunches flights to Miami from Munich hub

Lufthansa is resuming flights between Miami and its Munich hub, with the service operating each Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday via an Airbus A380.

The flights complement Lufthansa’s existing daily A380 service from Miami to Frankfurt.

During the winter months, the route will be operated with an Airbus A330-300 featuring Lufthansa’s new First, Business and Economy Class layout, which accommodates 217 passengers.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our passengers our latest product in all travel classes on flights to and from Miami and to provide a high level of travel comfort,” says Thomas Klühr, member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, finances and hub Munich.
Flight LH 460 is scheduled to depart Lufthansa’s Munich hub at 11:45 am and arrive in Miami at 17:15 local time.

The return flight, LH 461, departs Miami at 18:55, returning to Munich at 10:25 the next day.

Visitors to Munich will experience a city full of old-world charm and new world technology.

The city is described as having a village feel, with famous squares throughout, including Marienplatz at its centre and the neo-Classical Königsplatz, which boasts the Propylaen gateway and Glyptothek, a collection of Greek and Roman sculptures.

Yet the Bavarian capital is also considered the high-tech capital of Germany, as well as being the European headquarters of many international companies and second only to New York in the number of publishing houses.
