Lufthansa appoints new chief information officer

Josef Bogdanski has been appointed the new Chief Information Officer/Chief Process Officer (CIO/CPO) of the Lufthansa Group.

He is thus responsible for the global IT and process management of the Aviation Group and drives the further integration of the airline and service companies in this field.

In his new role he will report to Harry Hohmeister, Chief Officer Group Airlines, Logistics and IT.

Since the beginning of his career at Deutsche Lufthansa AG in 1984, Bogdanski has held leading positions in management, including the management of the Area Management Middle East, Southeast Europe & Africa, based in Dubai, and then the management of Sales in Germany, Global Key Account Management/Online Sales.

Prior to his current appointment as CIO/CPO, he was responsible for the future programme “SCORE Change for Success”, which will be completed successfully this year. Bogdanski follows Dr. Christoph Kollatz, who left the Lufthansa Group in April.
