Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, celebrates its 10th Birthday today. Where better to celebrate than at London Luton where it all began.
In 2004 the first Wizz Air flight departed from Katowice to London Luton, today the airline flies to 27 destinations across 13 countries from London Luton and has carried over 16 million passengers from the Airport.
Simon Harley, Business Development Manager, London Luton Airport, said, “We are delighted to be wishing Wizz Air a Happy 10th Birthday today. London Luton continues to be Wizz Air’s principal hub within the UK and we are proud to have played our part in the success story Wizz Air have created. We look forward to continuing this great partnership, and the new opportunities that development of the Airport will bring.”
