Lights, camera and festive action at Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita

With the show of bright lights and decorations, family, friends and festive food, is there a more exciting time of the year for children than Christmas? Now, Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita is looking to make this festive season even more magical for kids with the opportunity for them to be part of their own show-stopping musical performance.

Leading the kids in their performance will be London’s West End star Zoe Harrison, who has held the lead role of Maria in the London Palladium’s run of The Sound of Music and taught children’s theatre workshops in countries including Thailand, France and Sri Lanka, and musical theatre’s Nic Greenshields, who has performed the lead roles in West End shows Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, CATS and Beauty and the Beast.

Representing the UK’s children’s performing arts academy, Fusion Entertainment, the performers will be offering children ages 4 to 12 the chance to star in a glittering festive performance at the Resort, with the Fusion Academy musical workshop taking place for younger guests between December 23 and 28, 2011.  The program is complimentary, with limited participation available on a first come, first serve basis.

Children attending the Fusion Academy will be taught a host of singing, dancing and acting skills by the two West End stars, while also being able to try their hand at a range of fun backstage skills, such as make-up, costume and mask-making.

Taking the spotlight for the kids’ festive activities, Fusion Academy will run in flexible classes for three hours each morning and afternoon on December 23, 24, 26 and 27, culminating in a glittering performance on Wednesday, December 28. Comprising songs from some of the best known musicals, the latest phenomena Glee and a few festive favourites, children taking part in Fusion Academy will receive the very best training from some of the West End’s best talent.

In addition to Fusion Academy, the Resort’s festive activities will see a special Santa visit on the beach on Christmas Day, with presents arriving across the lagoon by pirate ship. All children can also take part in dressing the Christmas tree and icing the delicious gingerbread hut.

The Resort boasts unrivalled kids’ facilities including a dedicated children’s club with swimming pool, kids’ kitchen and puppet theatre, while for teenagers there is a separate young adults centre featuring table tennis, pool, the latest video consoles, home cinema and even a DJ booth. Plus, with a choice of the finest international cuisine and luxury pool villa accommodation, what better way for the family to spend Christmas?
