LATAM Airlines Group launches new European sales push

LAN and TAM Airlines, members of the leading airline group in Latin America, LATAM Airlines Group, have launched a new marketing campaign entitled ‘Destination South America’.

With a vivid image of the region at its heart, the campaign presents the very best of South America via four artistic creatives; from the most iconic sights and the rich culture, to the awe-inspiring landscapes and world class gastronomy of the region.

The campaign aims to bring these four key realities to the European public, allowing them to experience the magic of South America by venturing to its main attractions as well as uncovering its mysterious hidden corners.

The multi-channel campaign was developed in conjunction with global marketing and communications company, Young and Rubicam and will reach print, online, underground stations, billboards and cinema across five key markets; UK, Spain, France, Italy and Germany, as well as LAN and TAM’s social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus.

In addition to this, over the coming weeks LAN and TAM Airlines will have a heightened presence at some key events including exhibiting at London’s World Travel Market, co-sponsorship of the ATP Paris Bercy tennis tournament and the premier of Hidden Universe at Paris’ La Geode, as well as at the Brazilian film festival, Novocine, in Madrid.

Ignacio Blanco, European marketing director for LATAM Airlines Group, commented: “As the leading airlines in South America, we hope that this new campaign helps us to achieve our main objective – to bring the European public closer to South America.

“The campaign aims to bring the 115 South American destinations we fly to life, from the spectacular landscapes of Patagonia and Iguazu Falls, to the magic of the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu and Easter Island.”

LAN and TAM Airlines offer the best connectivity when flying within South America thanks to their extensive network and boast one of the world’s most modern fleets.

With daily direct flights to South America from London, Madrid, Frankfurt, Milan and Paris, the airline group is constantly growing and reinforcing its presence as the leading airline group for travel to South America from Europe.
