Las Colinas Golf & Country Club nominated as Europe’s best by World Travel Awards

Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has been successfully short-listed among Spain and Europe’s elite for this year’s World Travel Awards, with the property has been nominated in both Spain’s Leading Villa Resort and Europe’s Leading Villa Resort categories.

The awards support, promote and develop the global travel and tourism industry by identifying and rewarding excellence.

The ‘Leading Villa Resort’ category rewards those resorts that not only offer world-class facilities but that also provide additional attractions and services, all seamlessly integrated with cutting edge designed property.

On Las Colinas’ nomination, Cristobal Guerrero, managing director commented: “We are delighted to be short listed for such prestigious awards which reflects our successful year in 2014, selling the majority of our new luxury villas in the Enebro Community.

“Our recognition here brings together the stunning architectural design of our properties, food and beverage offerings and exclusive list of new leisure experiences, further demonstrating the popularity of Las Colinas for travellers and second home owners.”

The new luxury villas on site have been designed by renowned architects Woods Bagot and positioned at the heart of the development within the Enebro Community.

Three different villa types of three or four bedrooms are available all blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings, with superb views across the golf course and towards the coast.

The Spanish resort, located south of Alicante in 330 hectares of Mediterranean woodland, has become a leader in attracting international leisure visitors and second-home owners to the region since its opening in 2010.

Away from sport, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club also boasts an ocean front beach club, the International School of Falconry, renowned Japanese restaurant enso sushibar, nature trails through 200,000 square metres of natural space and Las Colinas Experiences that emphasise the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding region.

Voting is now open to the general public and runs until July 26th, 2015.

The winners will be announced at the star studded awards ceremony held in Sardinia on 5th September 2015.
