Landmark Mandarin Oriental launches honey inspired spa treats with Apivita

MO Bar at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is renowned for its contemporary and fashionable afternoon teas, offering guests a delightful respite during a busy day.  In October, the creative culinary team at MO Bar will create the region’s first Greek, honey themed afternoon tea with APIVITA, the Greek originated pioneer in natural cosmetics. Magic bees from the land of Hippocrates have already landed at The Oriental Spa, which has also launched a range of APIVITA journeys, and will soon be touching the ground at MO Bar.

One of the signature treatments is the two and a half-hour APIVITA Golden Honey journey which is a head-to-toe spa experience utilizing the beneficial properties of honey.  The journey begins with an Indulging Honey Scrub, followed by APIVITA Signature Body Treatment including a body wrap and a full body massage, and completes with a royal Queen Bee Face Treatment to restore youth.

“We wanted to create an exotic Greek, honey themed tea that could be found nowhere else in the region, and that would complement the APIVITA Spa treatments that are proving to be so popular,” said Sidney Schutte, Executive Sous Chef at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.

“Hippocrates was a Greek physician who believed that the body had the power to heal itself, and that a patient should be treated holistically. With this in mind, we have created a specially crafted menu to enrich the body’s holistic well-being. Utilizing APIVITA’s home-grown honey, the entire exotic experience combines classic Greek flavours and elements of nourishing honey from pure crystallized honey to honey bee pollen.”
