LAN Airlines launches Santiago-Los Angeles ticket sales

LAN Airlines has launched ticket sales for its non-stop service between Los Angeles and Santiago, which will operate three times per week between October 16th, 2016 and March 25th, 2017.

Thanks to agreements with partner airlines, South American passengers traveling through Chile to the US will enjoy shorter connection times from Los Angeles to 60 destination within the United States and additional destinations in Asia.

“We’re very happy to resume our nonstop service to Los Angeles using our modern Boeing 787 while offering our passengers a faster travel option from Los Angeles to Santiago, improving connectivity with destinations around the world.

“Expanding and enhancing the network of international destinations of LATAM Airlines Group is essential to maintaining our leadership in the region,” said Pablo Yunis, vice president, sales LAN in Chile.

Currently, the Los Angeles-Santiago route (via Lima) offers 14 weekly flights, enabling LAN to transport approximately 150,000 passengers annually.

With the addition of the new nonstop service between Los Angeles to Santiago, the carrier expects to add another 27,000 passengers.
