Korean Air, South Korea’s flagship airline, has introduced the ninth A380 aircraft to its fleet.

The ninth A380 will go through the required tests in Korea before making its debut flight to Atlanta on July 6th.

Korean Air operates the A380 on Incheon-Los Angeles and Incheon-New York fourteen flights a week each and Incheon-Paris seven flights a week.

Commencing July 6th the carrier will also operate the A380 on the Incheon-Atlanta route three flights a week.

Configured in a three-class layout with just 407 seats in total, Korean Air provides the ultimate comfort to passengers on-board its “hotel in the sky”.

Korean Air’s A380 has 301 seats in economy class, the lowest configuration of any A380 operator so far, providing the most spacious pitch of 34 inches.

The ergonomically designed “New Economy” seats provide the utmost comfort to passengers on long haul flights.

Korean Air took the bold step of being the first global carrier to devote an entire upper deck of the large aircraft to a single class.

Some 94 fully flat ‘Prestige Sleeper’ seats are located on the upper deck of the A380 in Prestige Class (business class) providing an experience that can be likened to a business class only aircraft.

And for the ultimate experience twelve ultra-luxurious First Class Kosmo Suites are located in the front of the lower deck and provide passengers with independent space, while also ensuring total privacy.

Korean Air will finalise the delivery of its tenth A380 being delivered in July - three years after the first A380 was introduced into Korean Air service in June 2011.
