Khiri Group CEO and co-founder Willem Niemeijer has made two senior appointments at Khiri DMC (destination management company). Francois Girard has been appointed General Manager of Khiri DMC. Craig Roach has been appointed Khiri DMC Director of Product and Operations. Both appointments are Bangkok based at Khiri DMC head office and are effective immediately.

Girard, a French national, will report to the Board of Directors at Khiri Group Management and will have responsibility for Khiri DMC development, operations, finances, profitability, HR, and quality control.

Before joining Khiri DMC he was Regional Operations Manager, Indochina and Bangladesh, for International SOS. Girard speaks English, French and Spanish and has an MA in International Law and Relations and a Post-Graduate Diploma in European Geopolitics.

Craig Roach, an Australian national, will report to Khiri DMC Chief Operating Officer, Frans Betgem as well as Girard. Roach has responsibility for the performance of all Khiri DMC sales teams, internal operating procedures, hotel contracts, and the quality control of tour products.

Prior to joining Khiri DMC, Roach was General Manager (Consulting) for Fez Travel and Road Runner Travel, both in Istanbul. He was also Destination Manager, Southeast Asia, for Imaginative Traveller, a UK based adventure travel operator

Commenting on the two Khiri DMC appointments, Niemeijer said: “Francois and Craig bring top level managerial experience and knowledge of Thailand and the Mekong region to Khiri DMC, which continues to do well and grow. Both of them will be responsible for ensuring top quality experiences for all Khiri DMC travel industry partners.”
