Key London appointments for Jumeirah

The luxury hotel group Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts has appointed two senior team members at their London properties. At Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, Ian Richardson has been named General Manager. He was appointed Acting General Manager at the property in November 2010.

Ian joined Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts in June 2004 as Health Club Manager at The Peak Health Club & Spa. In 2010, he took on the role of Revenue Manager for both Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, before taking up the Acting General Manager role at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in November 2010. Prior to joining Jumeirah, Ian worked in a variety of roles in the spa and leisure sector.

Nicholas Chalmers joins Jumeirah Carlton Tower at Hotel Manager. Within his role, Nicholas will oversee and develop all operations at the hotel in line with the brand’s ‘Stay Different’ promise, supporting the General Manager, Derek Picot.

Prior to joining Jumeirah, Nicholas held the role of Director of Operations at Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott, having joined in 2007 as Director of Revenue Strategy. Nicholas has previously worked in revenue and operational roles at Renaissance Chancery Court (London), The Landmark (London) and The Royal Crescent Hotel (Bath).
