Kempinski Career Day - talent search has top priority

March 10 is The Day - At the Kempinski Hotel Airport in Munich, Kempinski Hotels’ Management Board, Senior Management, and over 60 General Managers will interview young candidates who would like to start or advance their careers with Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group. Entry level but also middle and senior management positions are offered - keeping in mind the group’s ambitious expansion target. Kempinski plans to extend its current portfolio to 120 properties in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and China by 2015.

First hand: Henrike Gosemann, Vice President Talent Development Kempinski Hotels and responsible for the Kempinski Career Day

What is the goal of the Kempinski Career Day 2012? What are you hoping to get out of it?
We would like to meet numerous young talents and discuss what Kempinski could do for them and their careers, but also what they can bring to the table. To find young, talented people that will bring the company into the future is and will continue to be our top priority. This is also the reason why their development and training is paramount.

What is the concept of the day? What can participants expect?
The concept of the Career Day is the idea that talent search is the responsibility of the General Manager, Senior Management and the Management Board. That’s why they will all be available throughout the day, including our President and CEO, Reto Wittwer. This way, candidates can talk directly to the decision-makers and have the unique chance to impress and convince them and show them their motivation and passion to work the international hospitality industry. Decisions are made then and there. Once recognised as a talent for Kempinski, we will do our utmost to find a job for the candidate - Kempinski-wide.

What does Kempinski offer young talents?
We offer career opportunities within an international and fast-expanding company, the oldest and most established luxury hotel group in Europe, with many options for a first job and progression up the career ladder. Furthermore, the company provides tailor-made, individual mentoring and career development opportunities depending on the chosen field of expertise. With some flexibility, pioneer spirit and sense of adventure, you can get very far very quickly with Kempinski. Candidates are encouraged to accept an opportunity in diverse destinations, as this will provide career advancement and add a lot to the applicant’s personality.
