Jumeirah Group, Dubai based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has today announced that it will be participating in the UAE’s annual careers fair which takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 28th – 30th March 2010.
Representatives from Jumeirah’s Human Resources Department and UAE Nationals working for Jumeirah will be on hand at a stand in the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Pavilion at Zabeel Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre. These colleagues will be available to provide all the necessary information about any job opportunities available for potential UAE National candidates in existing or upcoming Jumeirah hotels. Potential candidates will also be able to engage in face-to-face interviews on the stand.
The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, which forms part of Jumeirah Group, has been working with DTCM over a number of years to prepare and train UAE Nationals for entry-level employment within the hospitality and tourism industry. During this period, DTCM, TANMIA, ENDP and The Emirates Academy have trained over 750 UAE Nationals via the Hospitality Career Development Summer Programme, the Hospitality MAHARAT programme and the IDAD programme. In addition the Academy is currently offering seven full scholarships for its three-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree to UAE National students starting in September 2010. Colleagues from The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management will be urging ambitious high-school graduates to register their details at the stand.
Jumeirah’s participation in this careers fair supports the Group’s national development programme, which aims to recruit the best young national talent that will help in building new generations of UAE nationals that can lead in the hospitality sector.
