Jumeirah Group appoints new commercial leadership in Middle East

Jumeirah Group has announced three appointments to complete the new commercial leadership structure for Middle East, Africa & South Asia.

Linda Lewis has been promoted to regional director of sales Dubai and MEASA, Shaf Butt has been promoted to the new regional director of marketing for Dubai and MEASA and Marieke Siefers joins as the new regional director of revenue Dubai and MEASA.

With a long and impressive career in sales, Lewis has held senior global sales roles with InterContinental Hotel Group, Thistle and Zabeel Investments.

In 2010 she joined Jumeirah as director of corporate sales in Dubai, then worked at Jumeirah Beach Hotel as director of sales before joining the commercial team.

Prior to her new appointment, Lewis was Jumeirah’s global director of strategic partnerships and sales excellence.

Shaf Butt, a British national, has been promoted to regional director of marketing for Dubai and MEASA.

He joined the Jumeirah Group in October 2007 and started with rooms marketing at Madinat Jumeirah.

Since then he has led the central marketing function for all the Dubai hotels, including food and beverage, rooms, conferences and incentives, weddings, groups, corporate and leisure.

Most recently he has acted as director of marketing and communications at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Marieke Siefers has been appointed as the new regional director of revenue Dubai and MEASA.

A Dutch national, with over ten years of revenue management and distribution experience, Siefers has worked in both Dubai and London.

For the past seven years she led the Dubai regional revenue management team for Marriott Hotels and was responsible for the recent openings of the JW Marriott, Marriott Al Jaddaf and Marriott’s existing operations in the region.

In her new role Siefers will lead the revenue management teams across Dubai and MEASA.
