Jet2.com announce three brand new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport

Jet2.com today announced its summer schedules for 2010 from Leeds Bradford Airport as the airline revealed its busiest month since it started flying over six years ago.  There will be three new routes including Bergerac and longer haul searing summer sun choices, Sharm el Sheikh and Corfu, all on sale now and starting to fly in May 2010.

Philip Meeson, Jet2.com boss said, “It’s clear that everyone feels they need a bit of sun in the summer.  Despite great weather predictions from the Met office this year it has been pretty dismal here in the UK.  We’ve seen a huge increase in bookings this August and it looks like people don’t want to be caught out again next year.  We’ve got some great new destinations coming on sale, which will make sure people can at least guarantee some summer sun.”
Temperatures in these sunny climes are currently ranging from 26 degrees to around a steamy 40 degrees in Sharm el Sheikh.

Whilst other airlines are cutting back, Jet2.com’s careful choice of routes and holiday options means it has been able to announce a host of exciting new destinations for next year and many of the region’s favourites will still remain in addition.

Philip concluded, “We have a great understanding of what the people of Yorkshire want from their holidays - fantastic leisure destinations, low fares and a friendly service.  This is proving to be a winning formula which seems to be working this summer and hopefully given the new routes we have just announced, will also give people want they want next year.”
