Jet Airways enters into code share with Gulf Air

Jet Airways’ dominance of the Gulf network continues with India’s premier international airline signing a code share agreement with Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air.

Under the agreement, which came into effect on 12 April 2010, Jet Airways’ flight code will appear on all Gulf Air operated flights between Bahrain and Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. Gulf Air will in turn code share on Jet Airways’ daily services between Mumbai and Bahrain.

The code share agreement will enable both carriers to further leverage their respective networks, offering passengers enhanced connectivity, seamless transfers between flights, baggage checked-through to their final destination and a host of other benefits including the fastest and most frequent access to the Middle East region.

Jet Airways flies to eight cities in the Gulf, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Riyadh.
