Indaba wins top exhibition award

Indaba has followed it’s success in this year’s World Travel Awards, where it picked up “Africa’s Leading Travel Exhibition”, to win an EXSA award for the best trade exhibition in South Africa in the over 12 000 square metres category.

“Winning this award from EXSA is another feather in our cap coming so soon after we had won the contract for Indaba from SA Tourism. It confirms the calibre and quality of the team which has managed Indaba for the past few years. We are particularly proud that, as a young and relatively new, small player in the exhibitions industry, we have won both the contract from SAT and this award from EXSA which is the premier watchdog body overseeing the South African exhibitions industry,” says Witch & Wizard Creative Chief Executive Officer, Zaida Enver.

“I am sure that the over 1 300 exhibitors planning their participation in Indaba 2011, to take place at the Nkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, will agree with EXSA that Indaba is indeed the best run and managed large exhibition in South Africa, particularly against the background of us having previously won two World Travel Market awards in 2008 and 2009 for the best travel and tourism show in Africa,” she says.

Witch & Wizard Creative is currently applying for membership of EXSA.

“In giving us the award as a non-EXSA member, we salute the professionalism and unbiased approach of the judges to the awards. We look forward to becoming a full EXSA member with all its attendant benefits in the very near future,” Enver added.
Sue Gannon, General Manager of EXSA, said: “We welcome Witch & Wizard Creative’s application to become a member of the EXSA family and congratulate this newcomer to our industry for their professionalism and overall excellence in running the Indaba Exhibition in 2010.”
