IMImobile, a global provider of mobile data and technology solutions to operators, media companies and enterprises, today announced that it is powering the London Official City Guide app. Created for London & Partners, the official promotional organisation for London, the app offers a practical guide for both Londoners and visitors. The app provides valuable assistance to users during the summer and beyond.
Available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, the app is now available from Apple iTunes and Google Play and has so far been downloaded tens of thousands of times. It has been well received by users with a rating of 4+ stars on the App Store and an average of 4.8 stars on Google Play.
London & Partners appointed IMImobile in April 2012 to deliver the free app. Featuring a personal video introduction from the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, the app provides a “What’s On” guide for arts, clubs, comedy, dance, music, theatre, and sports across the capital. This includes geo-location functionality allowing users to discover and easily locate must-see events and places to visit nearby. The app also provides a host of summer specific features such as ‘Trails’ which help visitors to discover the best London has to offer.
