Iberia to allow larger hand luggage of flights

As of 3rd July, the new maximum dimensions for hand luggage allowed on board Iberia flights are 56 x 45 x 25 cm, substantially more generous than the current top measurements of 55 x 40 x 20 cm.

In addition to one piece of hand luggage, tourist class passengers may also carry a personal item, like a purse or laptop case, on Iberia flights. There is no statutory weight limit, but hand luggage must be light enough for the passenger to be able to stow it in overhead storage compartments.

Iberia will display panels informing about the changes at all its network airport, along with devices that enable passengers to verify that their hand luggage meets size limits.

When ground staff at boarding gates spot oversize or excessive pieces of hand luggage, it will be sent for loading in the cargo hold along with checked luggage.

Business Plus passengers on long-haul Iberia flights may carry two pieces of hand luggage.
