Iberia and the Real Federation Española de Fútbol (Royal Spanish Football Federation) have signed a trade agreement under which the Spanish airline is designated the Federation’s official and preferred airline until the end of 2014.

By means of this agreement Iberia and the Federation wish to underline the importance of air transport to sports activities. Iberia will carry Federation personnel and arrange its special flights for next years European Cup and the Confederation Cup events in 2013. Last year Iberia flew the Spanish national side to and from the World Cup tourney in South Africa, which it won.

The agreement was signed for Iberia by Chairman Antonio Vázquez and airline CEO Rafael Sánchez Lozano, and for the Federation by President Ángel María Villar Llona and Secretary Jorge Pérez Arias.
