The world class corporate travel services company, Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), has announced the appointment of James Stevenson as Global Sales Director.  Reporting to Commercial Director, Stewart Harvey, James will take overall responsibility for all worldwide sales activity.

Stewart Harvey said: “James’ appointment as Global Sales Director is a part of our declared statement to grow our new business activities.  James has considerable experience and knowledge of a variety of commercial and geographic markets and has a proven track record in global client development and retention. Having started his career with HRG on the operational side of the business, I am pleased that this home-grown appointment identifies the talent we have within HRG and underlines our commitment to developing good people.  In line with his previous responsibilities, I have no doubt that James will be extremely successful in his new role.”

James was previously the original General Manager of HRG’s joint venture in China, HRG Jin Jiang China, which was the first foreign majority-owned joint venture TMC in the country.  He was instrumental in building the company from 11 members of staff to over 200, whilst providing a comprehensive travel management service to a host of multinational and domestic companies across China.  In his early career James worked on the operational side of the business before moving into the sales area where he led and managed HRG’s account management teams across the Nordic countries, France and Italy. In his capacity as Vice President AsPac, James has most recently been responsible for all client facing activities across the Asia Pacific region.
