Hong Kong Airlines drops Gatwick route

Hong Kong Airlines has confirmed it will drop flights between Hong Kong and Gatwick from September 10th.

The all-business class airline has decided to scrap the service after just six months in operation.

It launched the daily all Club Class service on March 8th and appointed Gerard Clarke as general manager UK.

The airline released a statement blaming the “continuing weak economic outlook in Europe, combined with the strength of the regional business within Asia”.
