Today’s news that easyJet is to introduce designated seating for passengers, was welcomed by HolidayExtras.com, the UK’s leader for holiday add ons.

James Lewis, Head of Online Partnerships at HolidayExtras.com, said: “Travellers are accustomed to an endless choice of add-ons before flying and during their holiday; allocated seating will now provide more choice in-flight and make the whole boarding experience more hassle-free for easyJet passengers.

“Charging to change seats is also a clever way to potentially generate revenue from every seat on the plane rather than the 30 speedy boarding places currently available. We would also expect more customers to migrate to easyJet, particularly business customers.”
