Himalaya Airlines flies into Dubai World Central

Continuing to strengthen its network in the Middle-East region, Himalaya Airlines, Nepal’s fast growing premium carrier, has launched its first direct service between Kathmandu and Dubai.

The inaugural flight departed from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, at 10:40 and touched down at Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport at 13:25 hours.

Saeed Hamdan Al Naqbi, ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nepal jointly inaugurated the ceremony along with government officials and H9 officials.

“The launch of direct flights to Dubai is an important development for Himalaya Airlines.

“We anticipate high demand for the route, providing a further boost to inbound/outbound tourist traffic from Middle East region.” said Vijay Shrestha, vice president- administration, Himalaya Airlines.

“Operating a non-stop service between Kathmandu and Dubai has been in our vision for some time and we are delighted to have it achieved, strengthening our operation network in UAE.”

With the launch of three flights per week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the airline will operate its one of the three Airbus 320-214 on the route, offering 8 Business class and 150 Economy class seats for travellers on a regular basis.
