Hilton Tokyo Introduces Colombian Gastronomic Journey Promotion
During this event, guests will feast on a wide range of authentic Colombian dishes at the lunch buffet (3,500JPY) and dinner buffet (6,000JPY).
Colombia is the only country in South America to have both a Pacific and Caribbean coastline. The rugged Andes Mountains form a geographic spine that divides the country from north to south. Sitting at the crossroads of Latin America, the country has experienced a wide range of cultural influences and this diversity is reflected in Colombian cuisine. Colombia has also been selected as No. 2 favorite destination by New York Time’s readers in 2011.
During this unique promotion, diners can enjoy close to 40 superb Colombian dishes on the lunch buffet and 50 exquisite examples of Colombian cuisine served on the dinner buffet, all specially prepared by guest chefs Mr. Omar Ricardo Muñoz and Ms. Diana Patricia Soto from the National Learning Service (SENA) in Colombia. Try Colombian chicken and potato soup “Ajiaco’” (the local dish of Bogota) or coffee braised veal, “Lomitos al café’.” In addition, “Bandeja paisa,” a combination of cooked pork, beans, rice, accompanied by sweet fried plantains and corn bread, can also be enjoyed. For dessert, a delightful array of Colombian sweets using a variety of tropical fruits will be available, along with an organic Colombian coffee co-sponsored by ART COFFEE Co. Ltd.
