The 300-room Conrad Shenzhen is scheduled to open in December 2019. Located in the center of Shenzhen’s rapidly developing Qianhai CBD, the luxury hotel is well positioned to offer global travelers an inspired travel experience when they visit this gateway city.
“Often referred to as China’s Silicon Valley, Shenzhen is a global epicenter for high-tech design and production, as well as the world’s largest manufacturer of electronics. The city is also one of the key financial centers in China,” said Francis Lee, senior vice president of development, Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton Worldwide.
“Today’s announcement accentuates the important role the city plays in China’s broader economic reform, and we are proud to be supporting this growth. Combining Hilton’s global expertise and commercial engines with Horoy Real Estate’s local advantages, Conrad Shenzhen will complement its sister properties - Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai and Hilton Garden Inn Shenzhen Bao’An.” Added Lee.
Conrad Shenzhen is part of a comprehensive development project in the Horoy Qianhai Center. With expansive ocean views, the hotel will be located at the center of the Qianhai CBD, in close proximity to sophisticated office towers, commercial facilities and custom apartments. The property will offer 300 spacious guest rooms and suites, as well as exquisite cuisines and refreshments that appeal to both local and international tastes. Boasting around 2,480 square meters of event space, including a 1,200 square meter ballroom, Conrad Shenzhen is well positioned as the perfect venue to host exclusive social events as well as executive functions including meetings and conferences.
Conrad Shenzhen will join a portfolio of 24 Conrad properties, 12 of which are in Asia Pacific - Conrad Bali, Conrad Bangkok, Conrad Beijing, Conrad Centennial Singapore, Conrad Dalian, Conrad Hong Kong, Conrad Macao, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay, Conrad Tokyo, Conrad Koh Samui, and Conrad Seoul.
“Today’s signing adds to our existing pipeline of more than 10 Conrad properties in Asia Pacific, and represents another exciting milestone for Conrad as we continue to cultivate key projects in the world’s most sought-after destinations,” said John T. A. Vanderslice, global head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts. “Conrad Shenzhen is being designed for the modern, sophisticated traveler, and we look forward to providing guests with inspired experiences in this sought-after location when the hotel opens in 2019.”
The signing marks the entry of the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Shenzhen, where Hilton Worldwide presently operates two hotels under its flagship Hilton brand, as well as the Hilton Garden Inn brand. Across the Greater China and Mongolia region, Hilton Worldwide presently operates 54 hotels under the Waldorf Astoria, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands and has recently added the first Embassy by Hilton hotel in China to its pipeline. The company also introduced the Hampton by Hilton brand into China last October, with plans to open the first by the end of 2015.
Conrad Shenzhen will offer the popular mobile Conrad Concierge app, which gives travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it’s pre-selecting bath amenities or checking-in while in-transit from the airport, guests can access a variety of features at any of the 24 Conrad hotels worldwide by using the app.
Conrad Shenzhen will participate in Hilton HHonors, the only guest rewards program that allows members to earn Points & Miles® for the same stay and redeem points for free nights with No Blackout Dates at more than 4,350 hotels worldwide. Hilton HHonors members who book directly through preferred Hilton channels have access to benefits including: digital check-in, room selection, and free Wi-Fi.
