Hertz Rent2Buy expands online sales through UsedCars.com

Hertz Rent2Buy, The Hertz Corporation’s online car sales program, has partnered with Dealix, the leading provider of automotive customer leads for new and used cars, and its flagship site UsedCars.com, to bring customers the opportunity to search for Hertz Rent2Buy vehicles through their website.

Under the partnership, over 25,000 Hertz Rent2Buy vehicles in nearly 30 states are available to shoppers on UsedCars.com. The site, which has doubled the number of used cars available to shoppers in the past 12 months, is one of the fastest growing websites for pre-owned shoppers. UsedCars.com features more than 700,000 used car listings, from most of the nation’s leading auto manufacturers.

“In just over a year, the HertzRent2Buy program has become an important option for used car buyers,” said Mark P. Frissora, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Hertz. “We are delighted to work with UsedCars.com to provide an additional outlet for our customers to find these vehicles.”

The Hertz Rent2 buy program gives consumers direct access to vehicles that originated from Hertz’s fleet of cars, trucks and SUVs. With the unique offering, interested buyers can reserve a vehicle to test for three days; if the consumer later purchases the car, rental fees for the three-day trial are waived. As part of the partnership, each Hertz listing on UsedCars.com provides a link to the Hertz Rent2Buy web site, where consumers can complete a reservation to test the vehicle.

“The HertzRent2 Buy program offers visitors to UsedCars.com two advantages,” said Anna Zornosa, Vice President, ADP and General Manager of its Dealix Division. “First, the inventory includes a wide range of vehicles, including cars of all types, trucks and SUVS. Second, the program provides a new purchasing option for consumers—one that gives them opportunity to gain full confidence in the car before they complete the purchase.”
