Hertz continues roll out of neighbourhood expansion plan

The Hertz Corporation has continued to add to its neighbourhood market network with the opening of another 17 Hertz Local Edition locations in 13 states.

These new locations are in addition to the approximately 80 neighbourhood locations opened since January 2014, and more than 2,900 locations currently open across the US.

The openings are part of a company-wide strategy to accelerate expansion in the off-airport, neighbourhood car rental market servicing the replacement, leisure and business customers.

“It’s imperative at Hertz that we are consistently expanding our network of neighbourhood locations, especially in convenient suburban locations, such as auto repair shops,” commented John Holt, Hertz senior vice president, off airport operations.

“We strive to provide our customers with the fastest and easiest car rental experience possible, and with more than 2,900 suburban locations nationwide, we continue to provide customers with a fast and easy rental experience, no matter where they are.”

The off-airport segment is strategically critical for Hertz and the company is committed to developing new and expanded partnerships in the replacement market, offering customers pickup and delivery service, as well as growing leisure and business rentals.

Located in convenient, easy-to-reach locations, the openings provide Hertz customers with a full range of rental vehicles including compact through full-size cars and SUVs, and offers special weekend rates.

Rentals are also eligible to earn Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points, the company’s customer loyalty program that has a wide range of flexible reward options.
