Heathrow’s first hotel gets new lease of life!

The Stanwell, the first boutique hotel for Heathrow Airport business travellers, opens its doors again this April following a multi-million pound refurbishment and extension led by new brand, The Inn-genious Hotel Group and backed by Albion Ventures LLP.

Located 2 miles from Terminal 5 (M25, Junct.14) and 3 miles from Terminal 4, The Stanwell is one of those highly sought-after privately- owned 4* boutique hotels offering an alternative to the predictable large airport hotel chain brands.

Set in almost an acre of grounds, the hotel’s semi-rural location overlooks the village greens and 13th century St. Mary’s church; you would never know that you are 2 miles from the world’s busiest airport.

The Stanwell Hall Hotel first opened in 1951; was the original airport hotel at Heathrow and has traded as a hotel ever since. The new Stanwell will be marketed as part of the Inn-genious Hotel Group, the inspirational new brand from the owners and founders of the award winning B+B Collection.

The remodelled interior is “Victoriana meets Contemporary”; the hotel will have 54 bedrooms (previously 19) offering three different accommodation experiences…. the Victorian Rooms in the main house, many still with original features; the Stable Rooms across the courtyard with the ground floor rooms leading onto their own patios; and through the atrium, the new Garden Rooms, some with glass doors opening onto the lawns and some with their own balconies.

The hotel will have one reasonably-sized meeting room on the ground floor with natural daylight which divides into two. The whole room will take up to 60 delegates, making it an ideal venue for small meetings, training courses and private entertaining and there is adequate parking.

With a strong emphasis on food, Manuel Zamora, The Stanwell’s resident chef returns with some exciting new dishes for Zamora’s Restaurant which has been totally modernised with floor-to-ceiling French windows opening out onto the private rear patio and landscaped gardens; perfect for small parties and al-fresco dining.

Excited by their new venture, Sue Bertram, Director of Sales said; “The Stanwell is a breath of fresh air from Heathrow and a real alternative for small businesses looking to hold meetings, conferences and events on touch down in a contemporary environment.”
