Heathrow sees flights cancelled due to fog

7th Oct 2013

Heathrow Airport has cancelled 36 flights this morning because of poor visibility due to fog.

Several other planes were delayed earlier, but services are now returning to normal.

Cancellations had mostly affected short-haul flights, with British Airways among the airlines affected.

The widespread fog and mist which descended on the capital also led to delays and cancellations at London City Airport, affecting flights to Europe.
