Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air , the official carrier of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS), looks forward to BIAS 2014 which commenced yesterday, Thursday 16th January at the Sakhir Airbase.

“As the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, a key national infrastructure asset and an integral part of the local economy it is natural for us to be involved in this significant, bi-annual event that not only adds great value to the growing prominence of the Kingdom’s aviation sector in the international arena but also opens up vast business opportunities for the aerospace industry.”

As the official carrier of BIAS 2014 Gulf Air will have a dedicated exhibition stand and chalet at the event. The opening day saw the national carrier showcasing its distinctive Gulf Air A330 flying display in addition to a static aircraft display of the Gulf Air A320 ER (extended range aircraft) with various announcements throughout the three days.

Returning to the Kingdom from 16-18 January, BIAS 2014 is organised under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

A number of multinational companies are participating in the event including ADS Group, Airbus, BAE Systems, The Boeing Company, Farnborough International Ltd, GE, Lockheed Martin, Lufthansa Technik and Sikorsky / Pratt & Whitney.
