Gulf Air adds Milan flights

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which started services between Bahrain and Milan last month, has increased its frequency to the fashion and business capital of Italy from four to six flights per week with a 117% increase in total seat capacity.

From 1 July, Gulf Air will operate six days a week in two different schedules giving customers convenient options to choose from when they want to travel to and from Milan. On Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays the flight will depart Bahrain to reach Milan early mornings while on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays the flight will depart Bahrain late mornings to reach Milan by afternoon.

Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Mr. Majali said, “We are pleased to increase our frequency to and from Milan and add more capacity. The new route, which we launched just last month, has already become popular and we are encouraged by the bookings and high level of enquiries from potential travellers. Come summer, the demand will be even higher and therefore we have decided to upgrade the route with a new Airbus A320 aircraft, which can take more people and cargo.”

“In addition, the split schedule gives flexible options for our customers to choose their arrival and departures according to their business and leisure needs. Last but not the least, the split schedule also offers more onward connectivity options for those travelling beyond Bahrain.”

“As the only carrier operating the largest network in the Middle East with over 1000 flights per week, we present an unique advantage for our European customers to reach the vast Middle East and North Africa markets with our seamless connection via Bahrain,” concluded Mr. Majali.
