Grand Canyon West makes America’s Got Talent appearance

Grand Canyon West has seen its profile skyrocket after the location was used as the backdrop for the introduction of America’s Got Talent’s first Las Vegas boot camp episode.

The episode saw 100 of the most talented performers are narrowed down to 48.

During the introduction sequence, host Nick Cannon stood atop Guano Point and said: “It’s America’s Got Talent and I’m here at Grand Canyon West, where the spirit of America rises, with a powerful sense of purpose and destiny.”

Seven weeks ago, the seventh season premier introduction was also filmed at Guano Point.

Guano Point is one of three viewpoints at Grand Canyon West, which is owned by the Hualapai Tribe and home of the world-famous Grand Canyon Skywalk.

The first boot camp episode originally aired Monday, June 25th, 2012 from 21:00, attracting ten million visitors.
