GOL announces new chief executive officer
GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes, the largest low-cost airline in Latin America, has announced Paulo Sergio Kakinoff will take over as chief executive.
Kakinoff was elected by the board of directors earlier and will take over the role on July 2nd.
The position is currently occupied by Constantino de Oliveira Junior.
GOL was launched in 2000 and is a subsidiary of Brazilian conglomerate Grupo Áurea.
The carrier presently controls roughly a third of the Brazilian domestic aviation market, and a little under a tenth of the international traffic to the country.
