“GO LOCO” Engine Rides at the Napa Valley Wine Train

The Wine Train is proud to announce “GO LOCO,” a new way to experience Napa Valley. Ride in the cab of a historic FPA-4 ALCO engine, watch the conductor and engineer at work, and get first-hand information on what it is like to operate a short-line railroad.

Choose between a half or full journey. When guests choose the half journey, one part of their experience will be in the cab of the engine, and the other part will be in a classic 1915-1917 Pullman dining car enjoying a multiple course gourmet meal. Selecting the whole time in the engine cab offers the full three-hours in the locomotive and the experience of eating like the conductor and engineer do—a brown bag lunch.

The Napa Valley Wine Train provides a relaxing three-hour, thirty-six mile round-trip journey from the historic town of Napa, through one of the world’s most famous wine valleys, to the quaint village of St. Helena. Choose to “GO LOCO” and create an amazing and lasting memory different than any other offered in the Napa Valley. These engines harken from 1958-1959 and have seen more than six million miles a piece.
